Rhapsody is an ancient Greek word that means “songs stitched together”. This series holds a spirit of collaboration, a creative flow that felt almost like making music. We were inspired by the contrasting moods and colours of the sunlight playing softly on our walls in different hours from dusk till dawn.
The collection consists of hand-tufted carpets, made with great care from pure New Zealand wool and Tencel. The designs reflect on the vibrant colours of Indigo, Chilli and Saffron, some of the most cherished goods that travelled along the silk road for centuries, connecting the east and west.
Inspired by the compositions of beautiful marine plants and creatures in the deep oceans, we worked with bold shapes, complimented by subtle natural shades. The precious shiny material of these Tencel-Wool carpets add to the sense of FLOW, that captures the magic of the world under water.
White and pastel berries that bloom like ornamental flowers in autumn inspired us for this soft pastel series of hand-tufted carpets made with hand-spun Newzealand wool and Tencel. The minimal and elegant, yet bold designs have a relaxed air that elevate spirits in rooms and easily compliment different interior styles.
